Beg./Int. Commercial Hip Hop with chellie

Beginner/Intermediate Commercial Hip Hop features professional dancer and instructor Michelle "Chellie Fig" Figueiredo. This class is perfect for dancers who have some prior dance knowledge/experience and want to enjoy themselves with this upbeat, energetic hip hop class! Students will learn a new style of hip hop reflecting trends seen on TV, music videos, and artist tours.
Beginner: This class is designed for novice dancers or students who have not danced for many years. We will continue to emphasize proper posture, muscle development, flexibility, musicality, and grace of movement through beginner-level combinations. Students are expected to know basic dance vocabulary and have a desire to improve their strength and technique.
Intermediate: Dancers with previous training will enjoy the transition into an intermediate-level class. Students will progress at a quick yet comfortable pace while increasing strength and flexibility. Movement combinations are layered with multiple steps to refine and advance your dance technique on a pre-professional level.
Michelle Figueiredo "Chellie Fig" is a former Captain of the Sixers Dancers and has performed across China on an NBA China tour numerous times. She has danced back up with artists such as Nico & Vinz, Pharrell Williams, Vanilla Ice, and more. She received a BA in Dance Performance from ARB's Princeton Ballet School and continues to train at Millennium Dance Complex and Broadway Dance Center.
