Koresh Dance Company Dancer’s Contract
2020 Season
This performance agreement, made this 31st day of August 2020 between Koresh Dance Company (the “Company”) and FULL NAME , (the “Dancer”) for the 2020 performance season. The performance season will begin on Monday, September 28th, 2020 - November, 20th, 2020 (the “Contract Period”).
The Company agrees to pay Dancer a salary of $AMOUNT per week, a week being Monday-Sunday, during the Contract Period. This salary covers all classes, rehearsals and performances by the company during the Contract Period. Salary will be paid bi-weekly every; other Tuesday.
Rehearsal schedule for the 2020 season will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:30am-4:00pm.
Daily Schedule will be as follows:
10:30-11:30am | Technique Class, taught by a company dancer
11:30am-12:00pm | Break
12:00-4:00pm | Rehearsal
Performances & Touring
Dancer agrees to be available for all shows and events the Company schedules during the Contract Period. Company rehearsal and performance schedules are subject to change.
During this Contract Period there are no touring dates. Dancers will be rehearsing and working on an in-house video project as well as developing a new work titled tikVAH for Koresh Dance Company’s approaching 30th season. The creation of tikVAH includes potential company workshops held during rehearsal hours.
health Guidelines in response To Covid-19
Below represent our efforts to secure approval for Company dancers and artistic staff to safely work during the Contract Period. These guidelines may be amended to reflect updates to the Federal, State and Local guidelines and policies.
Daily self-screening, including a temperature reading, is required before entry and will be kept on file to facilitate contact tracing.
Dancer must wear a mask when inside the building, except only…
As necessary to eat or drink during break times, while seated at least 6 feet from others.
There are sanitation stations throughout the building. Everyone is asked to sanitize your hands frequently, including but not confined to whenever entering or exiting studio space, after using a washroom, and before/after removing your mask.
Rehearsals will be socially distanced, and will focus on solo or group work 6-feet apart.
Partnering will be optional for those dancers who reside together, and will require consent from all individuals involved.
Dancer is asked to disinfect their dancing area after each rehearsal with the cleaning supplies provided.
Dancer(s) who have had contact with someone who has been exposed to a case or possible case are not required to isolate unless Dancer develops symptoms or is diagnosed with COVID-19.
If confirmed with COVID or presenting with symptoms including cough, headache, fever, loss of sense of taste or smell, Dancer will…
Be asked to quarantine and return to work when they meet BOTH of the following criteria:
at least 3 days after resolution of fever and improvements in respiratory without anti-fever mediation AND
at least 10 days have passed since symptoms have started.

Dancer who has had contact with to someone who is COVID-19 positive will be asked to get tested twice, at least 7-10 days apart. Dancer will be asked to quarantine is symptoms arise.
The Company will notify Dancer of any Spring 2021 engagements by January 2021. It is expected that the Dancer will be available for any spring dates communicated prior to this deadline. During this time Dancer will also receive a 2021 contract for the Spring 2021 season.
Dancer agrees that:
During the Contract Period, Dancer will attend scheduled company warm-up classes before each rehearsal, unless prior consent by the artistic director was given, or unless the dancer is injured. If injured, Dancer will be present at the studio for scheduled classes and rehearsals to observe.
During the Contract Period, if Dancer misses any scheduled classes or rehearsals without consent from the artistic director, the Company will deduct salary at a rate of $15 per hour. If Dancer misses more than three (3) rehearsals without consent from the artistic director, the Company reserves the right to terminate this contract.
During the Contract Period, Dancer will arrive at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled rehearsal times. If Dancer is tardy, deductions will be taken from salary in ½ hour increments at the rate of $15 per hour.
During the Contract Period, Dancer will not engage in any outside performances without prior consent from the artistic director.
During the Contract Period, Dancer will take four (3) company classes per week (on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings at 10:30am)
As a courtesy to the Company, Dancer will make Roni Koresh and the Company Manager (company@koreshdance.org) aware of any times they will be out of the Philadelphia area for an extend period outside of the Contract period.
Dancer understands and agrees that all choreographic material created during the Contract Period belongs solely to Ronen Koresh and the Company. Dancer may not use any such choreographic material unless permission is given by Ronen Koresh and proper credit is received.
Dancer will maintain a current passport and identification for the Contract Period.
Dancer understands that any frequent flyer miles or rental car mileage points gained while on tour with the Company are not to be used for personal travel and may only be redeemed by the Company.
Dancer will participate in community outreach and any and all promotional activities undertaken by the Company. Dancer’s promotion obligation includes interviews for radio, newspaper, magazine, film and video, documentary, television, web sites, and all other media. All pictures, video, audio and film taken and/or recorded by personnel hired or secured by the Company remains the property of the Company. The Company reserves the right to use Dancer’s likeness, image, voice and the like for promotional use.
Upon mutual agreement additional weeks or engagements may be added to this contract. If additions are made, it is understood that the expectations outlined in this engagement will be extend to the new contract period.
Dancer is a representative of Koresh Dance Company at all times when engaged in Company business.
Dancer represents that he/she is in good physical health. Any significant injury or chronic illness will be disclosed prior to entering into this contract.
It is the Dancers responsibility to save all receipts while touring for tax purposes.
