Our summer programs are a wonderful way for students to maintain their technique,
train with experienced instructors, and have a lot of fun!
Camps are an opportunity to broaden your child's exposure to dance and gain skills working with new genres, rhythms, and muscle groups. Our camps are tailored to younger dancers: 4 to 6 year-olds attend a 3-hour morning camp every day for one week, while 7 to 10-year-old children attend a 5-hour day camp with built-in breaks and creative activities. Each camp offers three or more styles of dance designed to engage your child in thinking, moving, bonding with peers, and enjoying a week of dance!
These hour-long classes meet every day for one week, at the same time, with the same instructor. Workshops are an opportunity for students to focus on a favorite style, study with a new teacher, build friendships with fellow classmates, and try new moves. Developed for dancers ages 5 to 12, our workshops invite students to expand their dance horizons.
Geared toward dancers ages 11 to 18, our intensives provide attention to technical skill and a focus on personal attention to your child's development as a dancer. These week-long programs meet for five full days and offer classes in multiple styles at the Intermediate (ages 11 to 13)and Advanced (ages 14 to 18) levels. The Advanced Intensive is considered preparation for high-school age dancers to audition for the Koresh Youth Ensemble in August.
Be sure to ask at the front office or email Sarah Braviak if you have any questions about placement.
Summer programs for 2016 will be posted in the early spring.
