beginner POinte Workshop with eva

Monthly workshop

Fridays from 8:00-9:00pm


Must register for entire month. Drop-in classes are not permitted. Ages 16+. Class cards are not applicable for any masterclasses or workshops

Suitable for beginners, this 4-session workshop is the perfect, introduction to classical pointe work. 

 An engaging, step-by-step guide designed for adult students, Eva's workshop will cover basic pointe foundations and movements at the barre and in the center. Beyond improving muscle tone, posture, coordination, and strength, Eva emphasizes the artistry and elegance that ballet is known for. 

 Pointe shoes are required, and we're happy to answer questions about choosing the right pair! 


Eva Szabo was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. She was accepted into the Hungarian National Ballet Institute in 1970, graduating with honors as part of the genesis of the Gyori Ballet. Retiring from the Gyori Ballet in 1988, she took her teaching diploma and her family to Philadelphia. She is currently teaching ballet at the Rock School for Dance Education and Koresh School of Dance. You can Eva’s profile in the Marquis Who’s Who in America book, 2010.
