In 2016, Koresh Dance Company celebrates its 25th anniversary!
Beginning with a world premiere and the silver edition of our high-fashion gala, Koresh Kouture, in March 2016, we'll round out the year with the best of the company's diverse and powerful repertory and new initiatives to contribute to dance education and the dance community in Philadelphia.
MARCH 10-12, 2016
March 10-11: World Premiere Performances
Artistic Director Ronen Koresh celebrates a quarter century of innovation and artistry with a world premiere at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre on the Avenue of the Arts. Featuring "23: Deconstructing Mozart", a collaboration with multimedia artist and composer Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky, this new work numbers the years and simultaneously looks to the future.
March 12: 25th Anniversary Silent Auction & Gala
March 12th ushers in the second year of annual gala night Koresh Kouture Silver, complete with whiskey, gin, and vodka tastings, delicious food, a silent auction, and a performance by the company. Weaving together dance and fashion, Koresh Kouture also turns the spotlight on Philadelphia's talented designers, whose work will be modeled by Koresh dancers. This year's gala honors board member David Cooper and the company's Assistant Artistic Director, Melissa Rector, who have both been integral to the development of Koresh Dance Company over 25 years.
